In November 2025, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), conducted an official inspection visit to Ebenco’s 30,000 BPD modular refinery in Koko, Delta State. During the tour, the Minister expressed strong satisfaction with the project’s progress and indigenous fabrication, describing it as a model for combating illegal refining and pipeline vandalism while advancing national energy security.

Ebenco’s modular refinery has received formal recognition from the Federal Government of Nigeria as a strategic asset for national energy security, demonstrating the company’s critical role in strengthening the country’s petroleum sector. This endorsement reflects the government’s confidence in Ebenco’s ability to provide a legitimate, scalable alternative to illegal refining, while enhancing domestic refining capacity and reducing reliance on imported petroleum products.
