The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has formally acknowledged the groundbreaking technological capabilities deployed at Ebenco Refinery, describing them as “unprecedented.”

Speaking during a recent technical review, Ngozi Nwankwo, Director of Liquids at NMDPRA, highlighted the innovative strides made by Ebenco in the Nigerian refining sector. She emphasized that the refinery’s local technology is so advanced that the Authority itself intends to study it closely.

“It is unprecedented for a local or indigenous organization to lead the drive and vision to domesticate and localize refining in Nigeria. This has not been done before, and it is great — we are all happy about what we are seeing.”
