Abuja, Nigeria — The Chairman of Ebenco Global Link Limited, Mr. Ebenezer Oluwagbemiga, has called on government, investors, manufacturers, technology providers, and industry stakeholders to embrace local production as the cornerstone of Nigeria's industrial transformation, urging both local and international partners to establish manufacturing plants within the company's proposed Ebenco Industrial Village.

Speaking during the NOG Energy Week Conference and Exhibition 2026 in Abuja, Mr. Oluwagbemiga said Nigeria possesses the human capital, technical expertise, and entrepreneurial capacity to become Africa's leading industrial hub, but stressed that this vision can only be achieved through deliberate investments in indigenous production and value addition.

He stressed that the era of relying almost entirely on imported industrial equipment, petroleum products, and manufacturing inputs must give way to an economy driven by local innovation, fabrication, and industrial development.

Nigeria cannot continue exporting opportunities while importing prosperity. Our future lies in producing locally, adding value locally, and creating jobs locally. We must build industries that manufacture, refine, recycle, fabricate, and innovate within our borders.

As part of this vision, the Ebenco Chairman announced the company's ongoing development of the Ebenco Industrial Village, a strategically planned industrial ecosystem designed to accommodate manufacturers, fabrication companies, engineering firms, logistics operators, environmental technology companies, petrochemical businesses, and other industrial enterprises.

According to him, the Industrial Village will provide investors with a collaborative environment where businesses can leverage shared infrastructure, logistics, utilities, engineering services, and operational support to significantly reduce production costs while enhancing efficiency.

Mr. Oluwagbemiga extended an open invitation to indigenous entrepreneurs, foreign investors, equipment manufacturers, technology partners, and energy companies to establish factories and production facilities within the Industrial Village, describing it as a platform for accelerating Nigeria's industrial renaissance.

We are building more than an industrial estate—we are creating an ecosystem where Nigerian industries can grow, innovate, manufacture, and compete globally. We invite investors and strategic partners to become part of this transformational journey.

He also reaffirmed Ebenco Global Link's commitment to delivering one of Nigeria's most ambitious indigenous downstream infrastructure projects through the construction of the company's fully indigenous refinery. The refinery project, he explained, represents Ebenco's determination to strengthen Nigeria's energy security, reduce dependence on imported refined petroleum products, create employment opportunities, and deepen local participation across the oil and gas value chain.

Mr. Oluwagbemiga noted that the refinery is being developed with a strong emphasis on Nigerian engineering expertise, local fabrication, and indigenous technical capacity, demonstrating that Nigerian companies possess the capability to execute world-class energy infrastructure. He emphasized that combining the refinery with the Industrial Village would create an integrated industrial ecosystem capable of supporting manufacturing, energy processing, logistics, environmental services, petrochemicals, fabrication, and industrial innovation.

The Ebenco Chairman further urged policymakers to continue implementing policies that encourage local content development, support indigenous businesses, improve access to industrial financing, and create an enabling environment for long-term investment. He said collaboration between government, the private sector, financial institutions, and development partners remains critical to unlocking Nigeria's enormous industrial potential.

Participation at NOG Energy Week provided Ebenco Global Link with an opportunity to engage investors, regulators, international partners, and industry leaders on strategic collaborations aimed at advancing Nigeria's industrialisation agenda. As Nigeria seeks to build a more competitive and resilient economy, Ebenco Global Link reaffirmed its commitment to championing indigenous innovation, sustainable industrial development, energy infrastructure, environmental solutions, and local manufacturing as key drivers of national economic growth.
